I am extremely pleased to be able to announce that the National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) and the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) have today jointly unveiled new guidance for their respective members around teacher recruitment.
NAHT’s members are being offered guidance on working with teacher supply and recruitment companies.
In this guidance NAHT’s members will be introduced to APSCo’s new code of conduct for its education recruitment members. APSCo has worked closely with the NAHT to produce this code, which sets out how professional recruitment consultancies will conduct themselves and what schools and academies can expect from APSCo’s members.
In its guidance the NAHT recommends “that schools and academies seek to work with agencies that are registered” with APSCo in order to ensure that they are bound by APSCo’s Code of Conduct. It also confirms that working with APSCo members that are Compliance+ accredited “provides additional assurance to schools”.
This is fantastic news for Advocate who have been at the forefront of communicating with schools and academies about ethical ways to work within recruitment of teachers.
In order to learn more about the NAHT and APSCo guidance please contact us directly and we will happily share the code of conduct.
