Residential Support Worker

Due to sustained growth of our residential provision we are looking to employ a further three Residential Support Workers.

You will be provided with a weeks induction period where you will learn the day to day running of the home and complete shadow shifts alongside our Senior Management Team.

As a Residential Support Worker, we are looking for staff to support our Young People develop independent living skills and forge positive new pathways through life.

On placement our team supports Young People to develop the skills they need for future life.  That’s why our team are empowered to offer a wide variety of activities on a regular basis

  • Everything from coasteering and mountain biking to painting, writing and even getting a manicure
  • Getting involved in food preparation
  • Having great emotional support from you, their psychologists and therapists
  • Being able to relax at home, thanks to the stability and routine that a fixed home and great staff can bring

By the time each child leaves us, you will have done everything you can to help leave a lasting impression, giving them a new awareness of the circumstances they joined us from and a renewed sense of self-belief as they move toward a better tomorrow. 

The great thing is, even though this is a round-the-clock, sleep-in role and you’re not the kind of person whose empathy switches off when the clock strikes midnight, you’ll nevertheless be on a shift rota that ensures you have a well planned work life balance. Plus, there’ll be two of you working with one Young Person at any given time and we’ll give you all the training you need to really make that essential difference.

You’ll need to be happy to work towards a Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or already have one), have a driving licence and the willingness to work early, late and night shifts. Above all, though, we really want to feel that passionate spirit for making a difference coming through.

Registered Manager – Ofsted Registered Provision

General Duties:

Due to sustained growth we are looking to appoint a new Registered Manager to our Oftsed Registered Provision.

The Registered Manager of our residential home for children and young people ensures that a high quality of care within the home is provided. To contribute to the protection and safeguarding of children at all times. To promote education, health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide leadership and management of residential home and to represent and promote the service in internal and external settings.
  • To ensure the home complies with all standards and legislative requirements and lead on inspections. This includes Children’s Home Regulations, Children’s Homes Quality Standards and organisation policies, procedures and guidance.
  • To promote advocacy, voice and support opportunities, which will ensure that children and young people participate in the decision making that affect them and their voices influence the decisions that develop, shape and improve practices within the home.
  • To promote a therapeutic approach and ensure an understanding of early years and developmental trauma is accessed and provided to the staff team.
  • To provide regular, reflective and supportive supervision for staff with a commitment to continuous growth and development, in order to ensure that the values and ethos of the service are upheld, and workers are enabled to deliver the service to a high standard.
  • To work with a range of external agencies and professionals including CAMHS, Education and Police as and when required.
  • Develop and review the Statement of Purpose. Monitor and maintain standards against in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and implement quality assurance systems including care plans, risk assessments and regulation 44 reports. Source external agencies to carry out where necessary.
  • To manage recruitment and selection processes and have financial responsibility in relation to the homes budget.
  • Continuously monitor, review and develop the service in line with standards to gain positive results from Ofsted inspections.
  • To provide flexible management cover, including out of hours, when required to meet specific needs.


The manager must register with Ofsted and ‘pass’ the ‘Fit Person’ interview.
A Disclosure and Barring Service check at an Enhanced level is required.
